DAY 1: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

On this day, you will be picked by our driver guide to Lake Mburo national park and this journey will take you about 4 to 6 hours. You will stop over at kayabwe for equator experience and lunch then proceed to the national park and check in at Lake Mburo safari lodge.

Lake Mburo national park is one of Uganda’s smallest national parks which is ideally placed for an overnight between Kampala and the protected areas of Western Uganda but surprisingly it contains a broad cross-section of plains game including zebra, impala, eland, Buffalo, warthog and hyena in addition to Leopard, hippo and Rothschild’s giraffe. The varied landscape includes savannah, lakes, swamps and hills, with opportunities for absorbing game drives with plenty of animal and bird sightings. Though lake mburo’s 370sq/km area is small compared to many East African, it contains an impressive diversity of wildlife with 69 mammal species and 332 bird species. The bird list contains additional swamp specials such as the papyrus gonelek, papyrus yellow warbler, white-winged warbler and shoebill.

This activity will change the whole feeling of lake Mburo national park as it is absolutely spectacular. You will be able to explore the grassy ridges in the eastern park of lake mburo on a horse back which will give you a lifetime experience.

DAY 2: SALT LICK WALK AND GAME VIEWING IN LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

On this day, you will be picked up by our driver guide to go for a salt lick walk and this activity will take you about two hours. Guided walks explore the park around Rwonyo track junction culminating in a visit to a natural Salt Lake where wildlife can be viewed from a timber observation platform which will be rewarding. You will then go back to the lodge for lunch and refreshments.

GAME VIEWING

Following lunch, you will then go for a game viewing experience. There are various viewing points in the whispers of the wild for instance the south of Rwonyo the lakeside track climbs onto kigarama hill which provides a paranomic view of lake mburo. This lake and seven more can also be seen from the equally dramatic Kazuma lookout which lies at the top of a rather steep track accessed from the Ruroko track near the Kazuma/ research.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

On this you will check out of your hotel and start your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will check in Elephant lodge for refreshments and an overnight stay.

Queen Elizabeth national park which is located in the south western part of Uganda is Uganda’s most popular and diverse conservation area with a variety of habitats, including grassland, acacia woodland, forest, wetland and open water which sustains a wide range of mammals and about 604 species of birds. The medley of wonders enjoys a fabulous setting on the rift valley floor, surrounded by lakes, escarpments and the snowcapped Rwenzori Mountain. With this national park expect to see safari favorites such as elephants, buffaloes, the famous tree climbing lions on the plains of ishasha and kasenyi. The rolling hills pocked with extinct volcanic craters, the hippo lined kazinga channel and the Mitumbe mountains in Congo rising above the distant, western shore of lake Edward are the most exciting sites and views to enjoy on a Queen safari.

DAY 4: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Morning game drive

Following breakfast early in the morning at around 6:00am, you will go for your morning game drive. Morning game drives in queen Elizabeth national park can be so thrilling and heartwarming as you get a chance to spot the big 5 in the kasenyi sector of the park. The open grasslands of kasenyi provide the primary game viewing area where you will see the exhaling tree climbing lions as they spend their days resting up in the branches of the shady fig trees plus other animals like the buffaloes, hippos, elephants, Topis, herds of Uganda Kobs and many more and return to your hotel for lunch and refreshments.

Boat cruise at kazinga channel

After lunch, you will head for a breath-taking boat cruise at kazinga channel. A boat cruise on Kazinga channel in queen Elizabeth national park is one of the most relaxing ways to view the stunning vigilant game in the park. The two-hour voyage between mweya and the channels entrance into lake Edward cruises beside banks lined with resident hippos, crocodiles, waterbirds, visiting elephant, buffalo and antelopes. You will then go back to your lodge for refreshments, dinner and an overnight stay.

 DAY 5: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

On this fifth day of your 7-day honeymoon, you will be transferred to the primate capital of the world and check in at Volcanoes Bwindi lodge for an overnight stay.

Bwindi impenetrable national park marks as Uganda’s foremost tourist attraction and it is one of the most remarkable wildlife encounters which is tracking mountain gorillas across the misty slopes of the remote Bwindi in the south western part of Uganda. Bwindi is a home to a population of over 300 endangered mountain gorillas with several habituated groups which can be tracked. It is also a home of over 120 mammals including other primates such as colobus monkeys and chimpanzees as well as elephants and antelopes. Bwindi impenetrable national park happens to be a home of about 350 bird species including 23 Albertine rift endemics as well frogs and butterflies. There is much more to Bwindi than tracking such as the forest trails which lead to scenic waterfalls and rift valley view points and community walks through the local villages which provide amazing insights into the lives of the Bakiga and the Batwa(pygmies) living beside the forest.

The local community visits through the local villages provide insights into the lives of the local (pygmies) and the Bakiga lives. The trail starts from Buhoma the northern sector of Bwindi impenetrable forest and it will give a you a glimpse on the life of this interesting unique group with eye catching features like their short height and the fact that they have lived in these forests for centuries which will give you a lifetime memorable experience.

DAY 6: LAKE BUNYONYI EXPERIENCE

On this day you will be picked up by the driver guide to lake Bunyonyi Rock resort for the rest of your honeymoon holiday.

Lake Bunyonyi is located in south western Uganda between Kisoro and kabale and it is closer to the border of Rwanda. The lake protruding from translucent water, luscious stepped hills provide a natural stair case leading you to some of the best vies in Uganda. It is known as a place of many little birds which makes it one of the best destinations for bird watching and it has 29 islands which are concentrated in the central part and these include Bushara, njuyeera, Bwama and the infamous punishment island Akampene where girls who used to get pregnant before marriage were punished from. You will participate in activities like island hoping or canoeing, high course rope and zip lining among others while you are chilling with your loved one at the shores of the lake.

There are various interesting activities one can participate on at this lake for example relaxing and chilling with your loved ones after adventurous activities like gorilla tracking or mountain climbing, swimming in the waters of lake Bunyonyi which are parasite free, canoeing, island hopping for instance canoeing for 2 hours or more allows you to hop from one island to another while learning about their amazing history, bird watching since Bunyonyi is known as a place of Many birds, cultural and community visits among other activities however as a couple, you will participate in activities like island hoping or canoeing, high course rope and zip lining while you are chilling with your loved one at the shores of the lake.

DAY 7: DEPARTURE

Following breakfast, you will check out of the resort and then transfer back to Kampala.
